About Founder Susan N. Stewart
and her art
Artist Susan N. Stewart founded Flick the Switch Artists’ Collective in 2017 when artists were evicted from the Coffin Factory studios in Toronto. Eviction despair transformed into her being surrounded by creative community of talented artists and hip, edgy inspiring art.
Susan’s art work is in corporate and private collections in New York, Paris, London, Tokyo, Melbourne, Toronto, Montreal, Germany and Bermuda.
Collections include Torys, Fraser Milner Casgrain, Smart and Bigger, Ward Mallette, Central Guarantee (Central Capital), Cassels Brock, M.D. Realty, Air Canada, McDonald’s, Scarboro Toyota, Pailliser Development as well as in the private collections of Mr. W.F.McLean and partners at McCathy Tétrault, McMillan, Aird & Berlis.
Flick the Switch acknowledges that we are on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
Flick the Switch also acknowledges that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
