Flick the Switch Artists Took Part in the Recent International Peace and Film for Peace Festival

Susan N Stewart reports on the weekend-long event: “This was, for many of us, our first live-streaming and in-person exhibit during COVID-times. Flick artists exhibiting included Samar Hejazi, Ruthie Ellen, Hagop Ohannessian, Morgan Sheardown, Brent Hardisty, Angela Kim, and myself.  Other artists included Gillian Iles, Catharina Goldnau, and Moses Salihou.  Angela Kim was the amazing Executive Director, Curator, and panel moderator of the art exhibit.

The objective was to raise awareness of the underlying contributing factors leading to violence such as bullying, mental health, addictions, social isolation, poverty, and rejection of minority groups.”

This annual event, in its second iteration, promoted peace through film, music, art exhibits, speakers, food and cultural exchange.
