Annalise Prodor creates her work using multiple media platforms. It is multilayered in nature; a collage of with different aesthetic considerations. All of her creations, are a product of her interactions with surrounding environment, and her current research. Ideas of femininity, gender; issues related to a digital westernized culture and humanity’s relationship with Earth and to each other dominate her research interests.
Consumerism, complacency, privilege and the declining state of environment are some concepts, that are reflected in her artwork. She works with a fluid style and lets the artwork unfold itself, instead of predetermining the result.
Annalise has a BFA degree from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University and a Diploma in Fine Art from Grant MacEwan University. She has participated in multiple solo and group exhibitions, artist talks and has done curatorial work.
